Stop Cluster Bombs
Cluster Munition Coalition Australia
|
The Cluster Munition Coalition Australia is a group of Australian non-governmental organisations that supports the international call to stop cluster munitions from harming civilians. Austcare is the group's focal point. The Cluster Munition Coalition Australia is working to ensure that the Australian government takes strong leadership in the "Oslo Process", which seeks to secure a legally binding international instrument by the end of 2008 to: 1) Comprehensively prohibit cluster munitions that cause unacceptable harm to civilians; 2) Establish a framework to assist to cluster munition survivors and their communities, as well as to clear contaminated areas. |

The Cluster Munition Coalition Australia was established on 16 January 2008.
Austcare currently has a delegation participating at the Wellington Conference.
